WHO I AM?
Laura is a native Angelino born in Santa Monica and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She attended UC Santa Barbara majoring in Film and minoring in Social Anthropology and Human Behavior
Laura spent 15 years in the film business as a development executive developing and writing treatments for MOW’s and TV series and it’s also where she got her taste for politics.
Laura’s propensity to “just get it done” launched her passion for web design as she understood the power behind being able to disseminate content and action thru the “inter-webs”. Wanting to make a difference, she moved her talents into writing for non-profits, social justice causes and political campaigns including for President Clinton and President Obama.
She dove into CMS Web Design in late 2007 just in time for the Obama Campaign where she ultimately became the CA State Director of Volunteers for Obama for America.
Laura continued her service as an elected member of a DTLA Neighborhood Council and acts as Chair of the well-respected Arts District Land Use Committee.
Laura is an occasional contributor to Citywatch and writes policy positions for several boards as well as political and community actions.
She is also a badass photographer, a former pool shark, a lover of Scotch, and a lover of Cuban cigars.
We think we’ll keep her.
Our girl can get it done and lllooovvveeesss doing it!
